Set your business hours
Your business hours come from your groomers’ work hours. Packyard uses them to shade the calendar outside working time and to decide which days and times customers can request online.
New groomers start with Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Change this to match when each groomer actually works.
- Click the gear icon at the top right to open Settings. On a phone, tap Menu at the bottom left instead.
- Click Groomers.
- Click the pencil icon next to the groomer.
- Open the Work Hours tab.
- For each day they work, check the day and set the start and end times. Uncheck the days they’re off. Unchecked days show Day off.
- If you have more than one location, pick where they work that day.
- Click Update Groomer.
Repeat for each groomer.
If you have one location, you don’t need to pick it. Packyard uses your main location.
What your hours change
Section titled “What your hours change”- Calendar: time outside a groomer’s hours is shaded grey. A groomer’s day off is shaded all day.
- Online booking: customers can only pick days when at least one groomer works, and only times within those hours. Times already taken by an appointment or blocked time aren’t offered. If a day is full, customers see Fully booked on this day. Please pick another date.
- Booking outside hours is still allowed. When you book outside a groomer’s hours, you’ll see a warning, but you can go ahead.
- Working an extra day, or different hours just once? Add the groomer to that day from the calendar instead of changing their work hours. See Add a groomer for one day.
- Taking a day off or a lunch break? Block the time on the calendar instead of changing the groomer’s hours. Customers can’t book blocked time online. See Block time on the calendar.
- End time must be after start time. If it isn’t, you’ll see a message naming the day, like Monday: end time must be after start time.
- Check your timezone in Settings → Account → Timezone. Appointment times and reminders use it.
- Operating Hours on a location (in Settings → Locations) are your store hours. Customers see them on your booking page, but they don’t change which times can be booked. Use Work Hours for that.
- Owners and staff can change work hours. Groomers can’t.
