Charge a travel fee

A travel fee is added to a van visit as its own line. Customers see it in online booking before they confirm.

• Turn on mobile grooming and add a van. See Set up mobile grooming.
• Only the business owner can change the travel fee.

1. Go to Settings → Mobile grooming.
2. Open the Travel fee tab.
3. Pick how to charge:
   • No travel fee: the groom price is the whole price.
   • Flat: one fee per visit, whichever van. Enter it under Fee per visit.
   • Per van area: a fee for each van’s area, plus one for visits outside every area. Enter a fee next to each area, and one next to Outside every area.
   • Per mile from base: set a Free radius from base (miles) and a price Per mile beyond it. Distance is measured by road from the van’s own home base.
4. Optionally, set a Cap per visit so a far-away visit never costs more than that.
5. Check the boxes you want: Taxable, and Waive for recurring clients (customers with a visit in the last 90 days).

Each field saves when you click away from it.

• The travel fee never counts toward groomer commission.
• In Per van area, a van without a service area charges the Outside every area fee. You can also set an area’s fee on the van’s Service area tab.
