Send an agreement for signature

Customers sign your agreement online. They get a link by text and email, sign with a finger or mouse, and you see it on their page right away.

  • Set up your agreement. Agreements set to Sign once or Sign on every booking are also sent automatically when you book.
  • The customer needs a contact with a phone number or email address.
  1. Open the customer’s page.
  2. Under Agreements, click Send agreements.
  3. If the customer has more than one contact, choose who gets it under Send to. The primary contact is picked for you.
  4. Next to the agreement, click Send.

Packyard tells you how it went out, for example Agreement sent by email and text. If nothing could be sent, you’ll see Agreement wasn’t sent: and the reason, such as the contact having no email and not agreeing to texts.

The customer gets a text, an email, or both, with a link to Review and Sign Agreement.

  1. Opens the link and reads the agreement.
  2. Signs in the box under Your Signature.
  3. Optional: ticks the box to agree to texts about their appointments.
  4. Taps Submit Signature.

Open the customer’s page and click the Agreements tab. Each agreement shows its status:

  • Pending: sent, waiting for a signature.
  • Signed: signed, with the date, and when it expires if it does.
  • Expired: the signature is past the time set in the agreement. Click Send for renewal to ask them to sign again.

Click View to see the newest signed copy. On the signed copy, click Print / Save as PDF to keep a copy.

  • Signing in the shop: send the agreement, then under Agreements on the customer’s page click Sign on this device. The signing page opens, and the customer can sign on your tablet.
  • Resending is safe. If they haven’t signed yet, Resend sends the same link again. If they’ve already signed, Send again sends a new request, and their signed copy stays.
  • Links expire 30 days after they’re sent. Resending renews the link.
  • Signed copies stay private after 90 days. After that, only your team can open them, while signed in to Packyard.
  • The texts checkbox only opts customers in. Leaving it unticked doesn’t stop their texts.
  • Archived agreements can’t be sent, but customers’ signed copies still show, marked (archived).
  • New to Packyard? Agreement texts and emails start once Packyard has set up your business’s texting number. Until then, use Sign on this device to have customers sign in person.
  • Anyone on your team can send agreements.
