Using Packyard and Square together

What you get with Packyard + Square

Stop doing the same work twice and keep payments fully in sync.

No more double entry

Create orders from appointments in Packyard, then complete payment in Square. Services, discounts, tax, and tips stay linked to the original booking.

Cards on file & deposits

Use Square's tokenization to securely store cards on file, take deposits, and charge no-show or late-cancel fees without handling card data yourself.

Square Terminal support

Start a payment from Packyard and complete it on a paired Square Terminal. See real-time payment status updates without refreshing or guessing.

Clean taxes, discounts, and tips

Apply taxes and promotions correctly at the order level and track tips by staff. End-of-day totals in Square match what you see in Packyard.

Multi-location and multi-device

Pair multiple Terminals across vans or locations, manage which terminals are active, and keep all payments tied back to the right business and staff.

Sandbox-safe testing

Connect to Square sandbox to test your full flow—appointments, orders, and payments—before you ever run a real card.

Before vs after Packyard + Square

Same payment provider, completely different workflow.

Before: running everything by hand

Write totals on paper, ring them up in Square, guess which appointment a payment belongs to, and spend your evening reconciling by hand.

After: one connected flow

Appointment → order → payment → tip → receipt → reports. Every step is connected and traceable without extra work.

Before: staff on their own islands

Each groomer or front-desk person has their own ad-hoc process for charging, discounting, and refunding—hard to audit, harder to train.

After: one playbook for everyone

Staff follow a consistent flow from check-in to checkout. Training gets easier, mistakes drop, and you can see what actually happened.

Before: scared to change tools

You stick with clunky software because you don't want to rebuild payments and terminals from scratch.

After: keep Square, upgrade the rest

Stay on the payment stack you already trust. Packyard sits on top, automating grooming operations without touching your existing payouts.

Square integration FAQs

Details on how Packyard and Square work together.

Do I need a new Square account to use Packyard?

No. You connect your existing Square account via a secure OAuth flow. Your locations, payouts, and banking setup stay exactly the same.

Does Packyard change my Square processing fees?

No. Card processing fees are set and charged by Square. Packyard does not add any extra percentage fees on top of what Square charges you.

Will my existing Square Terminals work?

In most cases, yes. You can pair compatible Terminals with Packyard, start payments from Packyard, and complete them on the device. You can also manage devices per business and environment.

Can I test the integration before going live?

Yes. You can connect to the Square sandbox environment, run test appointments and payments, and verify the full flow without charging real cards.

Does Packyard store card numbers or sensitive payment data?

No. Packyard never stores raw card information. All sensitive payment data is handled and stored by Square using their PCI-compliant infrastructure.
